envelope bearing

Post by Mr.Logistics »

Hello Incontrolsim Team!

Currently we are trying to simulate a specific kind of Warehouse.
We have about 10 suppliers with 10 different products. We assigned each product with a label. The products are stored into 3 different ground storages:

1. dry storage
2. cold storage
3. Frozen storage

After the storage, the products are transported to different supermarktes. (depending on needs)

Now the question: Each supermarkt got a different demand (demand consists of the 10 products at the storage).
We created 10 demand-tables from Monday till Sunday for each product and 10 supermarkets.
For example: At 3pm we got a demand of 50products from supermarket 2. So 50 products have to go out of our storage.
How to solve this problem? Is there a specific atom?

Hello!

I'm not sure about the level of detail in your model, but you could for example use the assembler to connect the demand of a super market to a number of products from the storage. So every time the demand of a super market is due, a container is moved into the assember through input channel 1. The assembler will now collect the products, based on the BOM. The BOM can have different columns for each super market to determine the exact needs of products per super market.

I hope this is a solution for your model. There are some topics about the assembler already, so maybe you can have a look at those topics for more information/ideas.

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Marvin
