Hi,
I hope this is the proper thread for my issue.
I try to model a portal crane with two crossbeams. The crossbeams move independent of each other and each crossbeam has a separate area to move. But the two areas are overlapping and the crossbeams should always keep a minimum distance of 10 meters (see the following screenshot for clarification).
Is there a way, that i use two portal-crane atoms and control the distance of the crossbeams with 4D-script? Or exists an easier solution?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Portal Crane with two crossbeams
It is possible but to achieve this you require complete modification of the portal cranes. They should interact with each other. This is a large project even for experienced 4DS programmers.
We have a multicrane controller system: http://www.incontrolsim.com/en/addons/m ... oller.html. However, they don't have a minimum distance but use a make-way strategy. Before starting such a project, it might be worth looking at this multicrane. It can also help you defining your model or result specifications.
