Accumulating Conveyor

Post by Natascha »

Hello I have a small question about distances in the Accumulating Conveyor.

The products arriving from a source onto the conveyor get different sizes based upon a Bernoulli distribution. How can I realize that the distance between the products is always the same and the products do not collide?

Hello Natascha!

Try using the different spacing rules, which can be found at the bottom of the Specific tab.

In case you want products to be placed with equal distance between the products, use the Length + Spacing rule, and provide your distance between the products!

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Thank you for the answer, no it works :)

An other question I have, is about the products in an accumulating Conveyour.

Can I analyze how much products are per hour in an accumulating conveyor, and which waiting time the products have?

Hello Natascha!

For analyzing the number of products and lead times, please have a look at write different Times to Excel. You can write your data to Excel and determine the number of products per hour and lead times within Excel.

Another option is to attach a Monitor atom to the conveyor. Drag and drop the Generic Monitor (under RESULTS in the library tree) into the model and provide the setting you would like to monitor (for example Graph type = "Linegraph" and Variable to monitor = "Average Stay" or "Output per hour"). Connect the input channel of the Monitor to the central channal of the conveyor, and start the simulation to view the results.

Good luck!

Hello there Natascha!
Use the various spacing regulations, that you can get in the bottom with the Particular tab.
In the event you need items to become inserted along with identical distance relating to the items, utilize Length + Spacing tip, and gives the distance relating to the items!
All the best .!Kind regards,
