StatusMonitor for Portal Crane

Post by EikeB »

Hey,

i would like to Monitor my Portal Crane. Is this possible by using the Status Monitor Atom ? I tried but i couldn't get it to work.

I would like to see how much it is waiting for products and how much it is actually carrying products.

thank you for your help

Hello Eike,

It is possible to use the Status Monitor Atom to show the distribution of statuses of a portal crane.
However the Portal crane atom consists of a several layers: an element for the X-direction, one for the Y-direction and the Crane grabber (T136-crane).

When you connect the input channel of the Status Monitor to the central channel of the Portal crane you probably connect it to the grabber, instead of the crane itself. They lay on top of each other.
An easy way to deal with it is to double-click on the input channel of the Status Monitor. A selector window will be opened. Now select the Portal crane atom itself (the highest in hierarchy). This one has the statuses defined on it.
