Hello,
I'm modelling an assembly line which includes some sub-assembly stations. On one sub-assembly station there is some preparing work needed. So my question is; is it possible to model an assembler atom which is used by operator, so that the operator prepares product X, which is then assembled to the product Y when they both are ready? This means that the product X preparation is not performed at the same time when the assembly for products X-Y is done.
Greets,

Operator and assembler
Re: Operator and assembler
Hi Daro,
The easiest way to model this is by adding an extra Server for product X before the assembler. In the example model (attached) the preparation of X is performed on server 'prepare X'. The operator is called on the trigger on entry and released on the trigger of exit. (In this example it is actually not required to model the operator as it never will be the contraint...)

Hello Nick,
Tried your example model and it works like a charm. Thank you!
