Basically, these are different Enterprise Dynamics applications. They each have their own characteristics. The main focus is on the user interface and the loaded library. I'll explain them:
  • - clean.app: a minimal set of atoms loaded into the library to quickly build a basic model
    - Enterprise Dynamics.app: A standard set of atoms is loaded into the library to create general models. Includes atoms loaded in clean.app
    - Logistics Suite.app: A extensive set of atoms is loaded into the library to create logistics models. Includes atoms loaded in Enterprise Dynamics.app
    - Viewer.app: application used when executing the viewer. Targeted for only viewing existing models.

To get a good understanding of how ED works, you can work through the tutorial. It will give you some hands-on experience with ED. Then when you have the hang of it, you can start creating your own model.

The queue (and Enterprise Dynamics) use channels to arrange the flow. When you mention a custom time, this is not a standard feature of the queue. Perhaps you can give a description of the situation you want to model?
Again, the tutorial might be a good place to start since it deals with many basic concepts and uses the basic set of atoms.

There are many examples included with the software. Have a look at the \Work\Examples\English\Basic Modeling\ subdirectory. There are some Basic models available.
