Re: Openen en inladen .jpg bestand
It does not matter in which directory you place the .jpg. As long as the path in the resource manager is correct. I do not know yet what is going wrong. I was not able to reproduce your error. Could you describe step by step what buttons you press and at what moment you get the error message. Earlie...

Re: Openen en inladen .jpg bestand
Thank you Wietse for your question. For future posts, please write in English so global users can profit from it. It is indeed possible to use a .jpg as background image. Images can be very useful as background to guide the construction of the environment, i.e., where to place obstacles and infrastr...

Re: OLE command to save an Excel sheet
Hi Fabio, Each ExcelActiveX atom is used to setup a connection to a specific Excel workbook. You can get this reference using the function ExcelActiveX_GetRefWorkbook(e1), where e1 is a reference to your ExcelActiveX atom. You need to store this reference in an ole variable: var([oleWorkbook], vbOle...

Re: OLE command to save an Excel sheet
Hi Fabio, atmYourExcelAtom is an atom reference to the ExcelActiveX atom this is indeed like a pointer. If you use code to set up the connection using an ExcelActiveX atom you can also use code to write data from any table in ED to an Excel workbook. In the function ExcelActiveX_WriteBlock the 7th p...

Re: OLE command to save an Excel sheet
Hi Fabio, You can use the ExcelActiveX atom to connect to an existing Excel workbook or to create a new workbook. You can do this using the user interface of the Excel atom or from 4DScript. If you do it from 4DScript it is possible to keep Excel invisible and write code to save it automatically etc...

Re: ED Educational License
Dear Zdzislaw, The Educational licenses can indeed be used for non-commercial research projects, but there are different conditions for research and educational licenses. To determine whether you can use the ED Educational Suite for the research you would like to perform and to discuss what license ...

Re: Experiment Wizard
Hi Katinka, If you define performance metrics in the Experiment Wizard you indeed need to define on which atom you would like to measure the metric. In the performance metric itself you can use the two letter 4DScript word "cs" as a reference to the atom on which you are defining your perf...

Re: Bernoulli distribution of 5 products
Hello DjZu, Creating products from a Source and assigning a label to these products to be able to distinguishing several product types is not uncommon. You can do this with 4DScript but the easy way is indeed to use the Empirical distribution atom with which you can define your own discrete probabil...

Re: !!! in source atom
The Source creates products based on the Inter-arrival time and Time till first product . If it turns out that the connected Queue is full, the Source cannot send the product. The product will stay in the Source until it can leave. Only then the Source will determine the next arrival time, but it do...
