Re: 3D model
Ha Giovanni, Now I understand your problem. I think that if you flip the polygons, your problem should be solved. At the moment all polygons are pointing inwards. In the attached picture, I have your 3D model "Nave" one time as the original (the black version) and one time with all polygon...

Re: 3D model
Hello Giovanni, I'm a bit confused, since in the picture and ED-model you send me, is see no white areas as you were mentioning earlier? I see the turquoise and the dark (shadow) sides, but no white fields. Which is shown is, is more or less what I would expect... Ok, the colour is a bit off and you...

Re: 3D model
Hello Giovanni, I checked the model, but that seems to be fine. Which version of ED are you using? I tried it under ED 8.2 and 9 and both show no white areas. Are you by any change scaling the object? This may have some strange effects on the coloring of the object. Otherwise it might be an option f...

Re: 3D model
Hello Giovanni, Are the colors changing when you rotate the camera around the object? Because that might indicate that there are 2 polygons drawn on top of each other. In that case the 3D model has to be "cleaned". If that is not the case, you could send me your model (if your prefer you c...

Re: 3D Model - Importing Problem
Hello Andrea, That is indeed a strange message, which I also get when I load your 3D model (a .3ds file). It is especially strange, since when I open it (after converting it to a Lightwave file format, the 3D software I use), there is nothing out of the ordinary. When I then convert it back to a &qu...

Re: import a .3ds file
Hello Andrea, I've received your message and looked at the 3D object and see a few interesting things: First there is an enormous plane under the object you're interested in. The object itself is scaled (centimeters as meters? Something like that). And it's not located at the center or origin, but q...

Re: import a .3ds file
Hello Andrea, That sounds strange. You have all the images (I guess that the logo's and so on are made by using images) standing in the same directory? Do you have any other programs which can show 3D objects and is it shown correctly in those? If that is the case, but it still goes wrong, I can hav...

Re: Adding .wrl file
Ha Mohamed, I received your file via e-mail and indeed get the same error. When I open the file in a text editor, I see that the export of proEngineer creates a .wrl file which contains some additional information which is causing this problem. Unfortunately I don't have proEngineer, but using Googl...

Re: Adding .wrl file
Ha Mohamed_88, That is a message I don't see so often. To first cover the basics; I take it you went to the "Resource manager", the tab 3D models and pressed there the Add button to load in your .wrl file, right? If so, I have a few general questions: What size does the file has? Sometimes...
