Re: Production Sequencing

Hey Harry I inserted the code and adjusted it to my full model, and it works like a charm. So thanks a lot :) Though I would like for it to be possible for a product to appear more than once in a sequence, since I am trying to test which sequence of products would result in the best throughput. I do...

Re: Production Sequencing

Hey Harry I have tried to create a simpler model which represents the situation. The system is a flexible manufacturing system, so I have various products with different process times arriving at a single queue (out-of-system queue). This queue is connected to the in-system-queue. There are two queu...

Re: Production Sequencing

Hey Harry Thanks for the quick answer. I looked through the other question. Though I think the part where the two problems differ is that I don’t want to prioritise the products with a specific label, so that they are placed at the same location in the queue. This factor I think I got covered by usi...

Production Sequencing

Hey I am currently modelling a flexible manufacturing system. The input of the system is based on tact-times, and the products are in the beginning of the model divided into two separate queues (FOG-Queue and TFM-Queue). This division is based on which machine (FOG or TFM) the products are to be pro...

Re: Modelling a Flexible Manufacturing System

Hey Harry

I have tried out both your suggestions, and it works perfectly. There are only 300 products in the system, so the size of the table is not a problem.
Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated.

Best Regards

Re: Modelling a Flexible Manufacturing System

Hello I have done some further work on my model of the FMS system, and I can’t seem to figure out how to model the arrival lists correctly. I need to model two different kind of Arrival Lists: 1. Arrival-tact - the arrivals is defined by a specific takt time(interarrival). So, if the takt time equal...

Re: Modelling a Flexible Manufacturing System

Hello Harry Thanks for the quick response it really helped me a lot. I was able to figure out a solution for the 3 issues I had. Though there still is 1 thing in the model I can’t seem to get working. In the queue atom “queue_routing”, I need a way to send the products either back to the queue “Rout...

Modelling a Flexible Manufacturing System

Hey I am in the process of modelling a flexible manufacturing system, and I am experiencing some difficulties which I hope you can help me with. The production set-up which I am trying to model is based on 2 production machines (CNC1 & CNC2), and 1 measuring machine (CMM). There are approximatel...
